Dr. Julie Prutsman, Au.D., FAAA, CH-TM
Julie Prutsman is the owner and founder of Sound Relief Hearing Center and a third-generation audiology professional. Her family began in the field of hearing health care in the 1950s. After working in her family’s practice in both Colorado and Las Vegas, NV, she decided to open one of her own focused on tinnitus. Since the beginning of Sound Relief Hearing Center in December 2011, her practice has grown to eight offices. Sound Relief currently operates in Colorado and Arizona.
Julie earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Marietta College (1996), her master’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences from the University of Colorado (1999), and her doctoral degree in audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry’s School of Audiology (2003).
Dr. Prutsman currently serves on the Board of the American Tinnitus Association (ATA). She is also a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology, American Academy of Audiology, and Colorado Academy of Audiology.
Julie Prutsman grew up in Highlands Ranch and graduated from Highlands Ranch High School. Her husband, Patrick, works as the General Manager and co-owner of Sound Relief. They have two wonderful children, Ethan and Hanna, and their rescue, Tori. In her free time, Julie loves to read, travel, ski, and spend time with family.
Patrick “the other half” is the General Manager and co-founder of the Sound Relief Hearing Center with Dr. Julie. Patrick earned his bachelor’s degree in history from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He spent the previous 16 years selling pipe and fire hydrants.
Patrick, Julie, Ethan, Hanna, and their dog Tori live in Highlands Ranch. He enjoys swimming, mountain biking, snowboarding, and family time in the beautiful Colorado Rockies.
Dr. Leah Mitchell, Au.D., CH-TM
Leah has been licensed and working in Colorado as an audiologist since 2004. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communicative disorders from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh (2001), her master’s degree in audiology from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (2003), and her doctoral degree in audiology from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry’s School of Audiology (2007). Prior to joining the Sound Relief team, she worked at an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) office, a private practice, and at the Department of Veterans Affairs. She enjoys seeing how her patients’ relationships and quality of life can be improved through better hearing and the management of tinnitus.
Dr. Mitchell has lived in Thornton since 2004, after escaping the winters in her home state of Wisconsin. She enjoys spending as much time as possible in the Colorado outdoors with her husband, Tyler, and two energetic daughters, Evelyn and Etta. When she isn’t outside, she loves snuggling with Suzy, the pawed family member they rescued after losing their 15-year-old chocolate lab, Houser.
Dr. Kaela Fasman, Au.D., CCC-A, CH-TM
Kaela earned a bachelor’s degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, and a clinical Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Dr. Fasman is dedicated to providing excellent care and improving the quality of life of her patients and their families. She values her opportunity to help people live healthier and happier lives through improved communication and tinnitus relief. She enjoys educating friends, family, and patients about tinnitus and hearing loss and works at our Golden location.
Kaela and her husband moved to beautiful Denver in 2016. She enjoys hiking, exploring new cities, and baking on the weekends. She and her husband are avid coffee drinkers and can be found in cafes around town.
Dr. Lindsay Collins, Au.D., CCC-A
Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Science degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, and her doctoral degree in audiology from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. She experiences true enjoyment in helping her patients improve their relationships and their quality of life through better hearing and tinnitus management.
A Texas native, Lindsay moved to Colorado in the summer of 2012 to take advantage of all the state has to offer. Outside of audiology, she likes to spend time outdoors hiking, fishing, camping, and exploring with her two young sons (Jaxon and Owen), and two dogs (Luna and ShadowBelle). She also enjoys exercise and is a certified Zumba instructor.
Dr. Collins is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, from which she received her Certificate of Clinical Competence. She also holds a license in audiology from the State of Colorado.
Dr. Jackie Smith, Au.D., FAAA
Jackie prides herself on providing excellent patient care and improving the quality of each patient’s life through better hearing and tinnitus relief. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado and earned her Doctorate of Audiology at the University of Northern Colorado. Dr. Smith has worked in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.
Dr. Jackie is a Colorado native and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and sons, Will and Ryan. As a family, they enjoy playing and watching hockey and golf.
Dr. Abby McMahon, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA
Abby received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has been awarded the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Audiology. She is the Past President of the Colorado Academy of Audiology and has been on several other boards related to audiology. She loves working with patients and their families helping them achieve the best quality of life they can through excellent hearing healthcare!
A Fort Collins native, Abby is thrilled to be back in her hometown taking care of people in her community. When she is not at work, she is busy chasing after her two young (and busy) toddler boys, two dogs (Libby and Stella), and hanging out with her family! She loves spending time outdoors hiking, skiing and snowboarding, camping, and gardening.
Dr. Drew Price, Au.D., FAAA
Drew earned her Doctorate in Audiology from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL, and completed her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. As a second-generation audiologist, she has grown up seeing firsthand how important hearing wellness is to quality of life.
Drew is also a Pastor’s Kid, so she grew up in Florida, Arkansas, and finally landed in Louisiana, where her family still resides. Drew fell in love with Colorado at a very early age, so she knew this state would eventually become her home. She moved here in 2015 to finish her Doctor of Audiology residency at UC Health and has been here since! In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, cooking, traveling and live music.
Dr. Tony Kovacs, Au.D., FAAA, CH-TM
Originally from Chicago, Tony moved to Colorado in 2012 to pursue his Doctorate after many years of touring as the lead vocalist in his punk rock band Shot Baker. He was recently featured in a story by NPR which highlighted his hearing conservation work with musicians. Click here for more information.
Tony earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in ‘Audio Arts and Acoustics’ from Columbia College Chicago (2005), his Bachelor of Science degree in ‘Audiology and Speech-Language Sciences’ from the University of Northern Colorado (2014) and his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Northern Colorado (2018). His experience as a touring musician offers him a unique perspective and approach to the field of audiology. He believes preventive hearing healthcare deserves at least as much attention as rehabilitation.
In addition to playing music and helping folks with their hearing healthcare needs, Tony enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, and camping with his wife, Lisa, and their chocolate lab, Bodhi.
Dr. Kenzie Reichert, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA, CH-TM
Kenzie is a Colorado native who earned her bachelor’s degree in speech, language and hearing sciences from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She then went on to complete her Doctorate in Audiology at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Kenzie has enjoyed practicing audiology in a range of clinical settings. During her audiology residency, she had the opportunity to work at the National Institutes of Health, where she conducted hearing research in patients with complex medical needs and disorders. These experiences developed her passion for hearing and have translated into a dedication to improving patients’ quality of life by providing treatment options for both hearing loss and tinnitus.
Outside of audiology, she likes to spend time skiing and fishing in Winter Park, hiking, practicing yoga, and playing with her energetic family dog, Joey.
Dr. Alison LaBrec, Au.D., CH-TM
Alison LaBrec earned her degree in speech, language, and hearing sciences from the University of Colorado and received her clinical Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Texas. While completing her graduate degree, Alison was heavily involved in tinnitus research. She valued the opportunity to contribute to research focused on improving the quality of life for individuals with tinnitus.
Alison completed her clinical externship at a private practice in Manhattan. There she enjoyed working with patients of all ages to achieve improved hearing health.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Andrew, and their Australian shepherds, Louie and Junie. After living in New York City, the three of them are excited to be back home enjoying beautiful Colorado together!
Dr. Emily Densmore, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA, CH-TM
Emily grew up in Ohio. She attended Ohio University where she earned her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Doctorate of Audiology. There Emily was awarded the Outstanding Clinician in Audiology and Outstanding Graduate Student in Audiology awards. She moved to Arizona in 2018 and has loved it ever since.
Outside of audiology, Emily and her husband, Clay, enjoy exploring national parks around the country. So far, she has been to Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton. In Arizona, they enjoy exploring new hiking grounds and trying new restaurants and breweries.
Dr. Sarah Pitrone, Au.D.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in audiology and speech-language sciences and her Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to joining the Sound Relief team, Dr. Pitrone had an opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings including public schools, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and neurotology. Dr. Pitrone is committed to providing excellent care and finding a personalized treatment solution for each patient.
Raised in Colorado, Sarah and her husband, Sam, moved to Gilbert, Arizona in 2018. In her free time, Sarah enjoys travel, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Megan Read, Au.D., CCC-A, FAAA
Megan, a 6th generation Texan, is a huge San Antonio Spurs fan and the first in her family to move away from the Lone Star state. She earned her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Abilene Christian University in 2004. She worked in elementary education as both an interpreter in a deaf education classroom and as a speech pathology assistant. Dr. Read then obtained her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the University of Colorado – Boulder in 2010.
Her desire has always been to educate and empower her patients by working together to maximize access to communication. Dr. Read worked in a neurotology practice for nine years before joining the Sound Relief team. During that time, she sought out specialized training in the management of tinnitus and sound sensitivity disorders under Dr. Pawel Jastreboff, Ph.D., Sc.D. She loves both the art and the science of tinnitus treatment and truly enjoys walking alongside each patient in their unique hearing health journey.
Megan also enjoys exploring her creative side and trying new recipes. You might find her walking the many trails in Highlands Ranch with her husband Tim, their three children, Natalee, Brighton, and Ellie, and their two mischievous Westies, Ollie and Jefferson.
Dr. Rachael Luckett, Au.D., CCC-A
Rachael is one of two audiologists in our Scottsdale, AZ office. She earned both her B.A. in speech pathology and audiology and her Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from The University of Southern Mississippi. She pursued audiology because she enjoys helping others and has found fulfillment working with patients with hearing loss and tinnitus.
Rachael grew up in Mississippi, and she enjoys traveling whenever possible. So far, her favorite country to visit is Spain because of the beautiful churches. Her clinical externship at the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in Arizona introduced her to the Southwest, and she has loved the dry heat ever since! Rachael and her fiancé enjoy hiking, exploring new areas, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Dr. Taylor Verba, Au.D., CCC-A
Taylor Verba comes from the Appalachian region of Ohio along the Ohio River. She completed both her undergraduate and doctorate of audiology from Ohio University in Athens. Dr. Verba has worked in a variety of clinical settings including, the Pittsburgh Veterans Affairs, neurotology, and private practice.
Dr. Verba moved to Arizona in 2019 and has been exploring her new state ever since! When she is not helping patients, she and her husband enjoy spending time with their two cats and Great Dane (Pepper), hiking and watching Ohio football.
Dr. Senia Romero, Au.D., CCC-A
Senia earned her bachelor degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, and her clinical Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from the University of Colorado Boulder. Her interest in audiology started when her nephew was diagnosed with hearing loss, shortly after his birth. From there, her interest has grown into a passion of improving the quality of life of her patients and their families, by exploring the best options unique to their hearing and tinnitus needs.
Dr. Romero is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, from which she received her Certificate of Clinical Competence. She also holds a license in audiology from both Colorado and Washington state.
Senia enjoys exploring new cities, restaurants, and breweries, with her family and friends. While originally from Seattle, she happily moved back to Denver in 2021. However, you’ll still find her rooting for the Seattle Seahawks on football Sundays!
Dr. Morgan Ashby, Au.D.
Morgan earned a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, and a clinical Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. She also earned a certificate in animal audiology from the University of Northern Colorado. Morgan is passionate and excited about the field of audiology and enjoys building meaningful relationships with her patients.
Outside of audiology, she enjoys spending her time outdoors with her fiancé, Dylan, and their dog, Irving. On the weekends, you can find her camping, hiking, or snowboarding in the mountains.
Dr. Breanne Schwartz, Au.D.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Breanne earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Central Florida and her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of South Florida. She completed her residency at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado where she fell in love with the state. She loves being an audiologist because she can assist her patients with reconnecting to the world around them by improving their hearing and helping them manage their tinnitus.
Outside of work, Breanne enjoys trying new restaurants and coffee shops around Denver as well as exploring all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. She is a huge hockey fan and will always cheer for her hometown team, the Tampa Bay Lightning.
TJ started with Sound Relief in February 2019 and proudly holds the longest title in the company – Executive Director of Business Development and Operations. He graduated from Colorado College with a BA in Psychology. TJ also played in two Frozen Fours and a National Championship for Colorado College hockey.
He brings 20 years of experience in performance management, strategic planning, operational excellence across multiple industries, and we are thankful to have him on our team.
Outside of Sound Relief, TJ enjoys spending time with his family and golfing, fly-fishing, biking, and hockey.
Amy is our controller, in charge of accounts payable and receivable. She studied accounting at St. Louis University. She moved to Denver in 1998, and prior to joining our team, she was the controller for a general contractor for over 13 years. An innovative and driven accounting professional, Amy enjoys working for family-owned and operated businesses. She strives to learn new ways of doing things and takes on challenges that are sometimes out of her comfort zone.
Amy lives in Waterloo, IL with her two children, Paige and Cainen. She loves spending time with her family, hiking, skiing, and reading.
Kimberly Kent – PCC Manager/Assistant to the President
Kimberly began her career with Sound Relief as a Patient Care Coordinator in Highlands Ranch in April 2017. In July of 2020, Kimberly was promoted to Patient Care Coordinator Manager and now oversees all of our PCCs. Kimberly grew up in Iowa and is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa. Go Panthers! She has been a Colorado resident for 20 years and loves the weather here. Kimberly, her husband Jacob, kids Natalie and Preston, and her mom Deb live in Castle Rock. Kimberly enjoys traveling, volunteering at her kid’s school, scrapbooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Jamee Burke – Patient Care Coordinator
Jamee is the patient care coordinator at our Centennial office. She grew up in Nebraska and attended Brigham Young University, studying psychology. She enjoys working with such a wonderful group of professionals who make such a huge difference in people’s lives. Jamee also loves getting to know so many of our patients.
Jamee is married with three children and spends much of her free time attending her kids’ sporting activities. She also enjoys reading, traveling, spending quality time with her family, and walking her dogs.
Linda Diveley – Patient Care Coordinator
Linda started at our Golden office, and she now works in Highlands Ranch as it is much closer to her home. She has extensive experience in customer service. Originally from Belleville, Illinois, she moved eight times corporately before settling here in 1999 with her husband and two kids. Linda came for a vacation and fell in love with the mountains! She spends time reading, traveling, and visiting with family and friends.

Renee Nowocinski – Patient Care Coordinator
Renee has been the Patient Care Coordinator in our Highlands Ranch office since March 2018. Renee grew up in Southern California and made the move to beautiful Colorado in 2004.
Renee enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, baking, crafting, and sharing a great meal with friends. She can always be found cheering on her kids during their weekend activities.
Renee and her two children; Hannah and Harris live in Highlands Ranch and enjoy all aspects of living in a close-knit community.
Elizabeth Prutsman – Patient Experience Facilitator
Elizabeth is Patrick’s little sister and has worked with Sound Relief since 2016, and she mainly helps with quality control for the patient experience. Elizabeth graduated with Honors from Old Dominion University with a BA in English Literature, and she has over 20 years of customer care experience.
She is also an enthusiastic volunteer. She started coaching youth basketball in college and still does with her own children’s teams. She advocates for local animal rescues and volunteers to exercise dogs at the SPCA.
Her most important role is Mom to her kids, Wyatt and Leila; and Person to her dog Roosevelt. Her three favorite things are time with her family, walks with Roosevelt, and taking a break with a run; the longer the better.
Kelsey Harris – Audiology Assistant
Kelsey started as the patient care coordinator at Sound Relief and has since started her doctoral studies of audiology at the University of Northern Colorado. Between classes, Kelsey continues to help by assisting the doctors as much as possible. Before moving to Colorado, she grew up in the Chicago area. When she isn’t spending time with patients, Kelsey loves being with her growing family of 10 siblings and 11 nephews and nieces. Her true passion is caring for and working with others. She also enjoys volunteering and fostering for local dog shelters. Currently, she has two dogs, Roux and Hallie. Layla Fotouhi – Patient Care Coordinator
Layla Fotouhi is the Patient Care Coordinator at our Scottsdale office. She was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. After moving to Arizona, she can’t get enough of the sun! Her background is in Cosmetology, and she was also a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Fun fact: Layla placed in the Wisconsin State Pageant for National American Miss.
To advance her ability to help people, she is taking classes at Nova Southeastern University to become an Audiology assistant.

Ryan, our Assistant Marketing & Operations Manager, believes developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything he does both professionally and personally. With the addition of Ryan, Sound Relief is even more of a family business. He is the brother of Patrick Prutsman, co-founder of Sound Relief Hearing Center. His hobbies include hiking with friends and family, snowboarding, mountain biking, and he is an avid sports fan. Ryan also enjoys going on longboard rides with his beloved dog, Poppy.
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ryan graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2016. He moved to Denver in March 2019 and is already a huge Colorado sports fan. His aim is to find the best way to convey Sound Relief’s mission of changing lives one ear at a time.
Justina Muniz – Patient Care Coordinator
Justina, a Colorado native, joined our team as the Patient Care Coordinator of our Westminster office in April 2019. Justina finds true joy in helping others and is passionate about caring for our patients. She has worked in medical care for over 6 years and continues to find enjoyment and growth in her job.
In her free time, Justina enjoys many things including hiking, traveling, being active, and going to the gym, but mostly she enjoys spending time with her French Bulldog: Roskoe. She loves the outdoors and considers there is no lack of adventures for her and her pup in Colorado.
Emilee Cordova – Patient Care Coordinator
Emilee works at our Mesa location and started with Sound Relief in September 2020. As an Arizona native, she has tried to venture outside the state, but there is no place like home. She finds joy in helping others and for that reason she became a Medical Assistant in 2012. Emilee has worked in healthcare ever since. She is currently continuing her education in healthcare through Mesa Community College and Rio Salado College to obtain her Bachelor Degree in nursing. Outside of work, Emilee loves spending time with her fiancé Dan, her three spoiled dogs Hulk, Hazel, and Tucker, and her turtle Kowabunga.

Courtney Roling – Patient Care Coordinator
Courtney is the patient care coordinator for the Golden location. She was born in Wisconsin but grew up in Boulder, Colorado. In 2008 she attended college at Colorado State University in Fort Collins where she studied Journalism and Technical Communications. With nine years of experience in customer service, she has truly enjoyed settling into her new role at Sound Relief and getting to know all of the patients. It is so gratifying to be able to work with an incredible team that makes a difference for so many.
In her free time, she enjoys Pilates, reading, watching football (Go Broncos!), and exploring Colorado outdoors.
Lilly O’Shea – Patient Care Coordinator
Lilly joined the Denver office in January 2021. She is a Denver native but received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. With a background in the hospitality industry, she enjoys working with a variety of people from different walks of life. In her free time, she enjoys soaking up the 300+ days of Colorado sunshine!
