While no cure for tinnitus currently exists, there are several proven and highly effective treatment options and management strategies that have dramatically changed the lives of tens of thousands of people.

Tinnitus Awareness Week is important for many reasons. As an issue that affects millions of people, tinnitus research is horrifically underfunded. Additionally, this week can help us remedy the stigma and embarrassment that often accompanies this problem. By raising awareness about tinnitus, we can work to understand this common issue better and continue developing more effective treatment options for tinnitus patients.

To kick off the week, Monday, February 6th, Texas Roadhouse and Bubba’s 33 are hosting a nationwide fundraiser, “Dine to Donate”. The restaurant group is giving 100% of the day’s profits to support ATA’s mission.

The event also pays tribute to the life of Kent Taylor, founder of Texas Roadhouse, who struggled with severe tinnitus in his last year of life. Kent believed in supporting others in need, advancing research, and building community so that no one struggles alone—all action-driven values that the ATA and Sound Relief share.
