Dogs of Sound Relief Hearing Center

At Sound Relief, we love dogs! In fact, we love dogs so much that we created a page featuring our furry friends.

Some people say that people resemble their dogs and vice versa.

We left off the names of the dogs’ humans to see if you can tell who belongs to whom.

You can learn more about each pup and who their human is by clicking their name or picture.

Bandit
Bandit
Bandit

Bandit is Dr. Drew Price’s four-legged fur child. He’s a pure-bred mutt who enjoys pretty much everything. Bandit likes car rides, hiking, snuggling, and will high-five you for treats. He also loves catching the frisbee but turns it into a game of keep-away so his mom will chase him. He hasn’t caught a squirrel yet, but his never-ending persistence is inspiring.

Dr. Price sees patients at Sound Relief in Denver, CO.

Bodhi
Bodhi
Bodhi

Meet Bodhi! (Pronounced Bo-Dee) Bodhi is Dr. Tony Kovacs’s 9-year-old chocolate lab named after the bodhi tree, which is the tree under which the Buddha sat when he became enlightened. However, this dog is anything but calm and reflective. As chocolate labs tend to be, Bodhi is a total lunatic, even at 9 years old! A loveable escape artist, Bodhi has been known to break through many screen doors and windows in a determined (but never successful) attempt to catch squirrels, cats, or just go for a sprint around the neighborhood. Bodhi was adopted at 1 year old and has been with Dr. Kovac’s and his wife, Lisa, ever since. Bodhi is an excellent snuggler and LOVES swimming, hiking, and playing fetch and tug-o-war. He’s very good with his new little human sister, Margot, who gets startled when Bodhi gives her huge sloppy kisses.

Dylan

This is Dylan. We had her for 12 years and lost her in the winter of 2020.

She was a foster fail from my days before kids when I was just starting as an audiologist and fostered many puppies through a local rescue. Dylan was a foster fail who grabbed onto my heart and made me fall in love with her and keep her as mine. She was a true mixed breed that no DNA test could identify. She loved Sunday donut day and would gesture and lead us to the door to leave to get them on Sundays. We miss her.

Dylan’s human is Dr. Abby McMahon. Dr. McMahon sees patients at Sound Relief in Fort Collins, CO.

Gracie

Libby
Libby
Libby

This is Libby. She was born early 2021 and became a part of our family Spring of 2021. Our family had lost Dylan the previous year and found ourselves ready to add another dog to the family. A patient had gotten a dog from a website from North Dakota and shared it with me as a place to look for dogs. As I looked on the site, I found an ad for her, an English Cream Golden Retriever. Having always rescued, it was hard for me to get a breeder dog, but some convincing from my boys who wanted a golden retriever puppy finally took hold when I saw her mom on the North Dakota site.

We drove up as a family to North Dakota to get her over a long weekend and she has been part of the family ever since.

She is a lively addition to our house and can’t stand to be more than a few feet away from us at all times. She loves to snuggle, play with toys, and find stuff to chew up!

Libby’s human is Dr. Abby McMahon. Dr. McMahon sees patients at Sound Relief in Fort Collins, CO.

Oscar

This is Oscar. Dr. McMahon lost him at the age of 7 to cancer. He was a HUGE golden retriever weighing in at 130 pounds. People were always amazed at how big he was, and he could always check out what they were eating at the dinner table just by standing there! He was a big lover and didn’t realize his size. When Dr. McMahon brought the boys home from the hospital, each time Oscar immediately took to them and wouldn’t leave their sides. His sudden passing still leaves a hole in her family’s hearts.
